When it comes to movement we have to make a distinction between basic human movement and specialised movement. Most disciplines such as yoga asana, sports, dance etc require specialised skills. However most of us skip the very important step of mastering basic human movement first. We want to start dancing before we have mastered walking, so to speak. In these innovative courses, you will learn to improve your proprioception and build functional strength and mobility.
In this full-day workshop we will explore the idea of “intelligent strength” as the ability to control one’s range of motion in efficient ways. In these playful and rigorous practices, we venture outside of traditional asana practice, so that we can grow strong in a variety of contexts.

This workshop is the first one of a series of 3 yogic knee workshops.
Dealing with knee pain can be challenging because there are so many kinds and causes of knee discomfort and injury. In this introductory workshop we will look at a few common causes and misalignments. After a brief exploration of the anatomy of the knee, we will learn and practice exercises to improve function & strength. The emphasis here is on functional movement (movements you need in everyday life) rather than just yoga poses.
Surrounded by lakes, mountains and forest this is the perfect place to access pristine nature while diving deep into practice.
